According to the Walt Disney World website, some guest rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will be under refurbishment from May 2024 through November 2024.

As a result, guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours at the resort. Disney advises that most resort amenities will remain available. It has not been shared if this is solely a soft goods update — meaning textile and decor changes — or if the refurbishment will be focused on hard goods, like furniture and flooring.

The Doubloon Lagoon pool and Mardi Grogs pool bar were recently closed for routine refurbishment at French Quarter.
