April is Earth Month and Shanghai Disney Resort will be celebrating with interactive events and activities including the “ourHOME” Nature Conservation Forum on Earth Day.

As usual, guests can enjoy beautiful landscapes created by the Shanghai Disney Resort Horticulture team. The resort launched a celebrity-narrated Spring Flower Guide that teaches guests about 36 different types of flowers around the resort. The guide is available in Mandarin, English, and Shanghai dialect and feature actress Pan Hong, actor Chen Long, singer and actress Wang Ju, and TV host Zhou Jin.

The annual month-long tradition at Shanghai Disney Resort will further highlight Disney’s continued efforts to increase public awareness about nature conservation and inspire action that can help reduce everyone’s environmental footprint. We call these collective efforts, Disney Planet Possible — tangible actions we are taking to put possibility into practice and inspire optimism for a brighter, more sustainable future.

The “ourHOME” Nature Conservation Forum will be hosted at Shanghai Disney Resort on Earth Day, April 22. Non-profit organizations, volunteers, resort representatives, and special guests will “present meaningful and inspirational speeches and panel discussions.”

Xi Zhinong, a National Geographic Explorer and wildlife photographer, will share unique stories about capturing the beauty of wildlife and their natural habitat through the lens of his camera. Shanghai Disney Resort hopes these sessions raise public awareness about nature and wildlife conservation and encourage action.

In an annual tradition, Disney VoluntEARs will participate in a cleanup project in Dongtan, a tidal flat in Chongming Island of Shanghai, to collect trash and debris.

The “Celebrate Earth- Earth Month Fair” will return to Disneytown from April 19 through 22. This celebration will include environmental activities hosted in collaboration with non-profit organizations and supported by Disney VoluntEARS.

Cast and community members will also engage in Earth Month initiatives tailored for them, such as the nature-themed Disney Reading Together program.

This April, spend more time outdoors, connecting with and taking time to appreciate nature and the blossoming flowers at Shanghai Disney Resort. By taking actions, small and large, we can do our part in protecting the magic of nature and the planet we all call home.
