Disney Hyperion announced a new “The Princess and the Frog” picture book written by Tiana’s voice actress, Anika Noni Rose, that is seemingly inspired by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

New Book Possibly Inspired by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The book’s cover art, illustrated by Olivia Duchess, bears a striking resemblance to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure concept art (below). Tiana is pictured sitting in a small boat in the bayou, with glowing fireflies around her. She’s wearing a variation of her new adventuring outfit.
The picture book’s description also bears similarities to the ride’s story:

In both, Tiana is searching for a special ingredient for her Mardi Gras party. We know Tiana is searching for musical critters on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and “Tiana’s Perfect Plan” suggests she’s also trying to impress Naveen’s parents.
The book is now available for pre-order on Amazon and will be released on October 22, 2024 — after Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Magic Kingdom this summer. The ride will open at Disneyland Park in the fall or winter.
