Walt Disney World has unveiled the opening season for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Magic Kingdom.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opening Timeframe
Guests will get swept up in Princess Tiana’s world as the highly anticipated attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, opens in the summer of 2024. Set amidst the enchanting backdrop of New Orleans, this immersive experience promises to transport visitors into the heart of the beloved Disney film, “The Princess and the Frog.”
On this attraction replacing the legendary Splash Mountain, guests will embark on a thrilling journey through the vibrant bayou alongside Princess Tiana herself.

Can you believe we are “almost there” and closer than ever to opening Tiana’s Bayou Adventure this summer here in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort? With Mardi Gras season underway and construction milestones flying by, our cast members and I are so excited to see the magic of Tiana come to life like never before!
Disney also shared a FIRST LOOK at the fantastic Tiana animatronic (or Tiana-matronic as we are calling it) in her new adventure outfit that was created specifically for this attraction.
Disney unveiled the adventure outfit back in July 2022.
In June 2023, Disney shared a video of a walkaround character in the outfit, although Tiana has yet to make an appearance in the new look at Disney Parks.
Crews have been steadily working at the Magic Kingdom to get this project across the finish line, including running water through the flume and shaping foliage. New decorations were added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction walls to coincide with the opening timeframe announcement and Mardi Gras.
The post did not include a firm update for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland, which is also currently under construction. Disney has simply stated it will open at The Happiest Place on Earth later in 2024.
