Disney tested water in the flume of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom overnight as construction continues on the ride.

More vines have been added to the legs of the Tiana’s Foods water tower. The vines can be seen wrapping around the legs up to about the height of the scaffolding. They’re the same color green as the other fake foliage.

The entire exterior is much greener than it once was. The top of the mountain also features white and pink flowers.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure drop

Several of Mama Odie’s bottle lanterns hang around the top of the ride’s drop. This basically confirms the attraction’s climax will be at Mama Odie’s shipwreck home for the song “Dig A Little Deeper.” Jennifer Lewis will reprise her role as Mama Odie.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Queue

Flattened dirt in queue

Dirt has been moved and flattened in front of the Walt Disney World Railroad train station, which guests will walk under for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue. There are tracks in the dirt next to a paved sidewalk showing where construction vehicles have driven under the station.

The sidewalk has a section of brickwork with stones in a circle at the center. While railings run around most of the sidewalk, they stop next to this brickwork.

The tops of the large railing posts are covered in plastic. The other post tops resemble acorns.

The dirt is much flatter in this entire area. We expect to see more work here in the coming weeks.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flume

Lower ride flume

The flume at the bottom of the ride’s drop was looking pretty clean on Saturday morning. That’s because it was actually filled with water on Sunday night for testing.

User Picasso243 shared the above photo on the WDWMAGIC.com Forums. It shows water flowing through the flume late at night. The water was drained before the morning.

Loop of flume

We did see a small camera on a tripod next to the flume.

The camera was evidently being used to film the water. The tripod was weighed down by sandbags. No crew members or Imagineers were around when we saw the camera

The test may have been to see how the water works with changes to the flume walls and other nearby elements. No ride vehicles have been spotted.

The camera was not running when we saw it.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open this year at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park. It will likely open at Magic Kingdom first as construction began there first, but no dates have been confirmed.

Tiana’s Famous Beignets are currently available at Magic Kingdom for Celebrate Soulfully 2024. Pick them up at Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
