Tiana’s Famous Beignets have finally made their way to Magic Kingdom for Celebrate Soulfully 2024, and we were there on the first day to try them for ourselves.

You can find Tiana’s Famous Beignets during Celebrate Soulfully at Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland. The quick-service kiosk is located to the left of what will eventually be Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

We were very excited to try these beignets, as we expected the same Cafe du Monde mix that’s used in Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. Sadly, we were disappointed by what ended up being prepared for Tiana’s Famous Beignets.

These are actually Devonshire croissant beignets, and as the name goes, are made from croissant dough rather than deep-fried choux pastry served at Port Orleans. While it may not sound like a major difference, it is noticeable.

By themselves, the beignets taste like buttered croissants with a crunchy exterior. The strawberry sauce is what makes this dish special. To us, this would taste like a bland breakfast pastry otherwise. The sauce is not fresh, but isn’t overly artificial in taste.

In our opinion, we don’t think Tiana would ultimately approve of these being her “famous beignets,” as they are just tiny croissants dressed up as beignets. If you’re after a general tasty treat, these do the job, but if you’re expecting an authentic beignet, you’ll be disappointed.
