Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood Celebrating 1st Anniversary With Golden Power-Up Band, Complimentary 1-Up Button, & Power Up Cafe

Universal Studios Hollywood announced three new offerings coming to the park in honor of the 1st anniversary of Super Nintendo World on February 17, 2024.

Golden Power-Up Band

Gold Power-Up Band

First up is the limited edition Golden Power-Up Band, which was first released at Universal Studios Japan for the second anniversary of the original Super Nintendo World. It’s a yellow-gold color with the Mario “M” in the center.

The Golden Power-Up Band will be available beginning on February 17 at any Super Nintendo World retail location inside Universal Studios Hollywood while supplies last.

Power-Up Bands are used to interact with various elements and games throughout Super Nintendo World.

Super Nintendo World 1st anniversary button

This complimentary 1st-anniversary button will be available at guest relations inside Universal Studios Hollywood beginning on February 17. Mario is in the center of the button with a green mushroom and Mt. Beanpole behind him. “1up” is at the top and “1st anniversary” is at the bottom.

There is a limit of one button per guest. There is a limited quantity and they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Power Up Cafe

The new Power Up Cafe soft opened on January 29, 2024, but will have its grand opening on February 15. The new dining venue is located on the Upper Lot, on New York Street, and serves Super Mario-themed menu items.

Power Up Cafe offers a second location for guests to enjoy Super Mario-themed food items if Toadstool Cafe inside Super Nintendo World is full.
