Speakers Set Up for Disney Springs ‘Dreams That Soar’ Drone Show

Crews are preparing the west side of Disney Springs for the new “Disney Dreams That Soar” drone show, which will be presented nightly above Lake Buena Vista beginning in late May.

We previously reported on crews setting up a drone staging area in the Strawberry parking lot. This is past House of Blues at the west end of Disney Springs. This space is blocked from guest access by fences and scrim.

It looks like Disney is planning to use the nearby fields for guest viewing of the drone shows. These grassy spaces are also used for House of Blues concert queues.

Speakers and lights are on scaffolding towers on the edges of this field. Potted plants around the towers keep guests away.

This field provides a great view of Lake Buena Vista.

There are four towers.

In Disney Springs, another speaker tower is next to the closest Sassagoula Steamboat Co. dock.

There is also equipment on the dock, blocked by more plants.

Tarps also cover some of the tech.

Ten towers are on the sidewalk between the dock and the Aerophile balloon. Each tower is topped with two speakers covered by white tarps.

The towers run behind House of Blues, Jaleo, and Summer House on the Lake.

This suggests guests will also be able to view the drone show from this path.

The cords for the speakers are secured at the edge of the sidewalk, between the wire railing and the curb.

“Disney Dreams That Soar” will run for a limited-time from May 24 through September 2.

“You can fly” takes on a whole new meaning as we showcase Disney stories celebrating the joy of flight with state-of-the-art drones choreographed to create designs in the sky and paired with a “soaring” musical score […] and memorable movie quotes.
