New ‘Mardi Gras Season’ Posters Added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Construction Walls at Magic Kingdom

New “Mardi Gras Season” posters have been added to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction walls at Magic Kingdom, joining Southern Dome Salt Company stamps, Tiana’s Foods signs, Tiana’s Foods advertisements, and a Louis photo op.

The new posters are at multiple spots along the construction walls, including around the attraction’s future entrance under the Frontierland train station.

The posters are mostly purple, with touches of yellow and green — the colors of Mardi Gras. They read:

Mardi Gras is usually celebrated in February or March every year, marking the end of the Carnival festival season. Though Mardi Gras has already passed this year, the holiday will be celebrated year-round on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

While visiting Magic Kingdom on Friday, we also heard music playing from the attraction. “Down in New Orleans” from “The Princess and the Frog” was audible behind construction walls. Guests have heard this song testing at the attraction before.

A quick look around the rest of the construction site didn’t reveal many more changes, and the stormy weather meant crews weren’t out working. New gold detailing has been added to the tops of some of the blue lampposts in the queue.

One crew member was watering plants under the train station. More plants have been added around the sidewalk that loops under the station.

The wait time and Lightning Lane signage still haven’t been installed at the attraction’s entrance. The frames were installed earlier this week.
