We took a trip to Never Land on Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure in Tokyo DisneySea. Unfortunately, our ride-through saw some technical difficulties.
Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
In Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Kids head back to Never Land to rescue John from Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Along the way, guests on the 3D dark ride encounter familiar characters from “Peter Pan,” as they venture toward Never Land.
The attraction is one of two rides that are part of Peter Pan’s Never Land, one of the areas that make up the new Tokyo DisneySea port, Fantasy Springs. The second is Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. While the port officially opens on June 6, we got to ride Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure on the first day of its soft opening, May 16.
The attraction begins with a pre-show video that sees Peter notifying the Lost Kids that they have to go to Never Land to rescue John. Guests then pick up 3D glasses before boarding the ship ride vehicle.
The attraction is made up of a mix of physical sets and 3D screens. The Lost Kids can be seen heading toward Never Land.
Tick-Tock, the crocodile, patiently awaits the arrival of the crew.
Guests then head down a waterfall to Never Land with Peter, as the rest of the Lost Kids take their own flying boat. Once landing, guests encounter Wendy and mermaids in the Mermaid Lagoon. Tinker Bell sprinkles Wendy with pixie dust, allowing her to fly with Peter.
The youngest Darling kid, Michael, is then seen with Tiger Lily. The two bounce on a large drum before meeting up with Peter and Wendy.
Guests then find themselves on Captain Hook’s ship, as the battle to save John begins. During the battle, Smee can be seen in the eyes of Skull Rock.
Peter and the gang successfully rescue John, with Hook falling into the water. The group celebrates their victory, but just as their celebration began, our ride broke down.
