The aqua paneling has been restored and scaffolding has come down at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, following it being stripped from the facade.

The aqua-colored boards of the “Crest o’ the Wave” facade are back, surrounded by white balconies. Crews have reinstalled several balcony dividers and awnings at the top of the building.

Workers in red shirts and helmets are repairing the exterior of a light blue building with white balconies. Equipment from United Rentals is visible at the bottom.

Crew members were still completing work on a few balconies when we visited. Some of the aqua boards still need to be repainted.

Several people walk along a wooden boardwalk past a section of a building that is under construction, surrounded by white construction barriers with images of desserts and signage indicating it will be a bakery.

Crew members were also actively working on The Cake Bake Shop, which is set to open this year after a delay. A week ago, signs for the restaurant and bakery were installed.

The signs feature shiny gold filigree. Holes above the signs are likely lights.

More gray paneling covers the weather-proof sheathing of the building’s tower. This was formerly the ESPN Club.

A crew member was installing plywood underneath one sign. This will be the main entrance to the table-service restaurant, while the other will lead to the quick-service bakery.

A partially constructed building behind a white fence displays a sign that reads "The Cake Bake Shop: Opening 2023." The fence has posters of desserts and a woman. The sky is clear and blue.

Crews have also added sheathing and paneling around the pipes we previously noted.

The pipes on the other side haven’t been enclosed but sit in steel frames.

A building under renovation is surrounded by white construction barriers adorned with food images and a sign reading "Coming Soon." The area is boarded with a wooden walkway and some greenery on the left.

The paneling creates columns every couple of yards on the facade.
