The update was posted to the Magic Key page on the Disneyland Resort website. It reads:

Please note that we have paused new sales of Magic Key passes. At this time, current Magic Key holders may have the opportunity during their renewal window (currently up to 30 days prior to the pass expiration date) to renew into a pass made available within the program. The quantity of passes and pass types available for renewal may be limited. Passes or a pass type may be unavailable from time to time or at any given time or available only for renewal.

Renewals, however, are still available for those who already have a Magic Key pass.

Four keys are depicted within circles, each labeled differently: Inspire Key (pink circle), Believe Key (yellow circle), Enchant Key (purple circle), and Imagine Key (blue circle).

The four Magic Key tiers are Inspire, Believe, Enchant, and Imagine.

The Inspire Key is the highest-tier offering, priced at $1,649. Inspire Key holders can have up to six theme park reservations at once, receive 20 percent off of Genie+, unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads, 20 percent off of select merchandise, 15 percent off of select dining, and standard theme park parking is included.

Believe is $1,249, and offers up to six theme park reservations at a time. Guests with this key also get 20 percent off Genie+, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, 10 percent off select merchandise and dining, and 50 percent off standard parking.

Enchant is the third-tier option at $849, and key holders can have up to four theme park reservations booked at once. Those with this key also get 20 percent off Genie+, 10 percent off select merchandise and dining, and 25 percent off standard parking.

The Imagine Key is normally only available for residents of Southern California who live in zip codes 90000 to 93599. The pass is priced at $499, and guests can hold up to two park reservations at a time. It also includes 20 percent off Genie+, 10 percent off select merchandise and dining, and 25 percent off standard parking.

This is the first time sales on Magic Key passes have been paused since they resumed in March of this year. Before that, passes went on sale in January and three of the four pass types sold out within the day, and sales were halted completely the following day.
