Green construction walls now surround The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom. The restaurant remains open during refurbishment work on the exterior.
The Plaza Restaurant Refurbishment
The Plaza Restaurant is next to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. The construction walls are topped with decorative trellis features.
Signs on the walls are branded with the PPG Paints logo. This one has a silhouette of the Partners statue, with Walt Disney holding Mickey’s hand. It reads, “I believe in being an innovator,” a quote by Walt.
Another sign features the Walt quote, “Ideas come from curiosity.”
Mickey’s silhouette is on this sign with the quote, “All you need is a little bit of magic.”
There are gaps between the construction walls for the restaurant’s doors.
The walls block the whole ground floor facade.
They wrap around the tower on the corner, with another gap for an exit door.
The walls lead right up to the green backstage gate.
