Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point features a variety of new, exclusive merchandise, including the Junkanoo-inspired Mickey Mouse Loungefly mini backpack and ear headband.
Junkanoo is a festival in The Bahamas featuring colorful costumes, parades, drumming, and dance. The biggest Junkanoo celebrations are on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but there are festivals on other holidays and in the summer.
Junkanoo-Inspired Loungefly Mini Backpack – $88
The Loungefly backpack draws inspiration from Junkanoo costumes and from Mickey Mouse. It’s red, white, black, and yellow — Mickey’s main colors. The round front pocket features two white ovals inspired by the buttons on Mickey’s shorts. Mickey ears are on top of the bag, made out of feather-like pieces. There is embroidery across the pleather bag and a metal Disney Cruise Line x Loungefly tag on the front.
It has a large zip pocket, a small front zip pocket, and two side slip pockets. The handle on top is yellow. The padded straps are black and red.
“Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point” is printed on the back.
Junkanoo-Inspired Loungefly Mickey Ear Headband – $44.99
The ear headband has a similar design as the backpack printed on the front of the pleather ears. The headband is black on the outside and red on the inside.
The backs of the ears are solid red with “Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point” printed on the back of the left ear.
These items and more in the Junkanoo-Inspired Collection are available at the Disney T’ings gift shop on Lookout Cay. Disney Cruise Line shared a first look at Lookout Cay merchandise in March and revealed more in May.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is now open. The new Disney Cruise Line private destination features “RUSH! A Junkanoo Celebration” with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Junkanoo performers. Watch our video below.
