The rumor comes from the Disneyland Resort daily events calendar. The following entertainment is listed through June 29, 2024:

  • Avengers Assemble!
  • The Amazing Spider-Man!
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off!
  • Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje
  • Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts
  • Operation: Playtime! – featuring the Green Army Patrol
  • Five & Dime
  • Citizens of Buena Vista Street
  • Club Pixar (only games and photo ops)
  • Paradise Garden Bandstand

On June 30, the only entertainment listed is:

  • Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts
  • Citizens of Buena Vista Street
  • Club Pixar
  • Paradise Garden Bandstand

June 30 will be the final day of performances for the “Dr. Strange” show. The Paradise Garden Bandstand performances listed through the end of June are for Black Music Month. Club Pixar and Citizens of Buena Vista Street are the only entertainment listed on the calendar through July 23, the last day of the calendar currently available.

Not all of these shows have their own web pages on the Disneyland Resort website. However, the Five & Dime page lists no showtimes after June 29, and the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! page lists no showtimes for the foreseeable future.

Five & Dime is a jazz quintet and singer, Dime. The group has performed on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure as “streetmosphere” since the park’s major overhaul in 2012. Disney actually included Five & Dime on their list of “Celebrate Soulfully” entertainment for Black Music Month, even though the group is being cut before the month ends.

During Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off!, Star-Lord and Gamora dance with guests outside Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! For the release of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” Mantis appeared in the show instead of Gamora.

Avengers Assemble! is the stunt show held atop Avengers Headquarters. There have been variations of the show over the years but it usually features Black Widow and Black Panther fighting Taskmaster.

The Amazing Spider-Man! is another stunt show over the WEB SLINGERS facade featuring the impressive Spider-Man stuntronic.

Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje features the warriors showing off their skills and teaching guests.

During Operation: Playtime! – featuring the Green Army Patrol, the green army men drive their truck into Paradise Gardens Park and perform with toy drums.

In May, Disneyland Resort parade and character performers officially voted to unionize with Actors’ Equity. The group, dubbed “Magic United,” represents about 1,700 Disneyland Resort Cast Members. Most other Disneyland Resort Cast Members were already part of unions.
