Construction is progressing at Hungry Bear Restaurant after the dining location closed on July 8 for kitchen refurbishments.
Hungry Bear Restaurant Construction
On a recent visit to Disneyland Park, we took a trip on Mark Twain Riverboat to check out the construction taking place at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country.
A large green tarp and scaffolding have been erected around the dining location. A single entryway remains beneath the tarp for construction workers to enter and exit the location. Piles of construction materials are laid out alongside the entrance.
The green tarp blocks out the majority of the scaffolding, but some of the metal equipment is still visible as it stretches above the roof of the restaurant.
In other areas around the restaurant, there are no green tarps, and multiple levels of scaffolding are visible. There are no reports of any exterior work being done to the location, so it’s likely that these scaffolding levels exist only to transport materials that are needed at different heights inside the restaurant’s kitchen.
While the park has done a fairly good job of blocking out some of the less magical elements of construction in Critter Country, we did spot some dumpsters full of trash from the riverboat.
Hungry Bear Restaurant is a dining location in Critter Country at Disneyland Park. Earlier this year, the Hungry Bear Restaurant On the Go package became available to all guests. Previously, it had only been available to guests who purchased a Fantasmic! package.
Disney’s website is directing guests to Stage Door Cafe and Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante if they are looking for food and beverage items similar to what is normally served at Hungry Bear Restaurant.
