Tokyo Disney Resort Announces Touring Fantasy Springs Drone Show

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that a special Fantasy Springs drone show titled ‘Magic in the Air’ will be making its way to several different fireworks festivals across Japan this summer.

A large glowing "Fantasy Springs" sign is displayed against a dark sky, illuminated with colorful lights and small ornamental designs.

In 2023, the resort held a different drone show celebrating 40 years of Tokyo Disney Resort at festivals across Japan. It featured approximately 700 drones and was 15 minutes long. This year’s show will more than double the amount of drones, totaling about 1,500, and will have a similar runtime. This new display also promises more scenes than last year’s show.

As of July 4, 2024, the only announced date for the show is July 20, at The 71st Abekawa Fireworks Festival in Shizuoka City. More dates will be announced as they are decided.

It is important to note that, unlike the one-off Fantasy Springs grand opening drone show, “The Fantasy Begins,” this show is not scheduled to be performed at Tokyo Disney Resort itself.
