Country Bear Musical Jamboree
The Country Bear Musical Jamboree is officially open at Magic Kingdom. The reimagined attraction gives a fresh take on the beloved Country Bear Jamboree. Before getting back to Grizzly Hall, guests will notice a new poster for the attraction near the entrance of Magic Kingdom.
When guests arrive at Grizzly Hall, they will be treated to a new “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” sign that promises “A Wild & Wooly Good Time.” Once inside, guests will find new decor in the lobby. There are also items that were iconic during the original iteration of the show but have since been retired, such as Henry’s top hat and Oscar’s teddy bear.
The Grizzly Hall theater looks much the same as it always has, despite a new modern show with twists on classic Disney music taking place on stage.
Henry still serves as the show’s emcee, but he has a brand new look. He now dons a white cowboy hat, white jacket, blue collared shirt, and purple bolo tie. Most of the other characters will also be wearing new costumes.
Henry plays two different guitars during the show. Here he strums a beat-up acoustic.
But this new show is more modern, which means Henry is also getting with the times. Later in the show, he breaks out an electric guitar and amp for his performance of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from “Toy Story.” Sammy the Raccoon joyfully pops out from behind the amp.
The Five Bear rugs all sport matching blue bandanas as they play the first song of the show, “Country Bear Musical Jamboree.”
Oscar joins them on stage after trading in his teddy bear for a new Big Al plush.
After the Five Bear Rugs exit the stage, Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah come out on stage to perform “Try Everything” from “Zootopia.”
The three girls are joined by Trixie who wears her new sparkly attire.
After the ladies exit the stage, Romeo McGrowl shows up with a new name and a new look. With his new hairdo, stylish new clothes, and a golden guitar, he sings “Kiss the Girl” from “The Little Mermaid.”
After McGrowl exits the stage, Ernest the “Dude” joins the show and plays a fiddle solo of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from “Mary Poppins.”
Next up, the backdrop on the stage turns to night as Wendell and Teddi Barra perform “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin.”
Teddi Barra still descends from the sky on her flower swing, but now she wears a pink cowboy hat and blue boa.
After the duet, Terence a.k.a. Shaker dons a black and blue vest and blue bowtie as he plays “Fixer Upper” from “Frozen.”
Next up, Big Al plays “Remember Me” from Coco. On July 17, the Country Bear Musical Jamboree setlist was made available on Spotify and Apple Music. However, only nine of the 10 songs were released. Big Al’s “Remember Me” was the one song missing.
“The Bare Necessities” from “The Jungle Book” is then performed by the entire company.
The show ends with Henry, Sammy, Max, Melvin, and Buff singing “Come Again.”
A new T-shirt is now available at Magic Kingdom to commemorate the opening of the show.
