Disney Cruise Line has announced that its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, will feature its first-ever lounge inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.”

Known as “The Sanctum,” this will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the sorcerers and artifacts of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange” films. No concept art was shared alongside the announcement.

The centrally-located venue will contain mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world, but will also offer entertainment; cocktails, spirits, and coffees; and “unique surprises” from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum — including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.

More Marvel representation will be present throughout the ship, including the Grand Hall inspired by “Black Panther” and Wakanda.

Other reveals for the new ship include an Edna Mode-themed sweets shop, a Cruella de Vil lounge, cafes themed to Merida and Megara, a Haunted Mansion Parlor, a “The Lion King” dinner show, a new AquaMouse story featuring Disney Villains, and a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge.

The Disney Destiny will depart out of Disney Cruise Line’s Port Everglades starting in November 2025, with bookings available starting in September 2024. Disney has already released concept art for a variety of staterooms, including inside, oceanview, verandah, Royal Suites, concierge, and the Iron Man-themed Tower Suite.
