BREAKING: New Halloween Horror Nights Stay and Scream Protocols at Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort is introducing a new wristband protocol for “Stay and Scream” at Halloween Horror Nights 34.

New HHN Stay and Scream Rules

A crowd of people gathered outside a building with a sign that reads, "Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights - Stay and Scream: A Quiet Place, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, Insidious The Further.

Instead of staying in a designated area when Universal Studios Florida closes to regular guests, Halloween Horror Nights guests will be able to pick up a wristband whenever they arrive and then explore the park at their leisure.

Here are the details from the Halloween Horror Nights “Know Before You Go” page:

New for 2025: When you arrive at the park starting at 3pm, you’ll get a wristband at one of the check-in locations listed below. After that, instead of being in one designated area, you’ll be free to explore the park to catch a ride or show, grab a bite, shop for merch or simply take in the sights before the event opens. Then starting at 4pm, you can enter select haunted house queues with a wristband.

Check-in stations will be at:

  • Lombard’s Seafood Grill
  • Illumination’s Minion Café
  • Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast
