During the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Chairman Josh D’Amaro confirmed the opening year for the Tropical Americas land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, including its “Indiana Jones” and “Encanto” attractions.

‘Indiana Jones’ and ‘Encanto’ Attractions Opening Year

The land, dubbed Pueblo Esperanza, and its two signature attractions will officially open in 2027. It replaces DinoLand U.S.A. Construction will begin this fall but happen in phases.

The Indiana Jones ride will replace DINOSAUR. Though DINOSAUR has the same ride system as Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure, the Animal Kingdom ride will have a brand-new story.

The “Encanto” attraction will take guests into the Madrigal Casita.

The land will also include a new wood-carved carousel featuring Disney animals. Check out one of those animals, revealed at D23, along with the full Pueblo Esperanza model.
