We saw guests enjoying Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes in the Rivers of America on Monday. The attraction reopened with the nearby pathway connecting Bayou Country and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The reopening also marked the start of a transition from the name Critter Country to Bayou Country.

Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes opened on July 4, 1956, as the Indian War Canoes. They were part of the Indian Village, which would eventually become today’s Bayou Country. Cast Members lead guests through the rowing process as they travel around Tom Sawyer Island. The attraction is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. most days.
