The Imagination! Pavilion’s original 1982 music loop is no longer playing in the pavilion’s restrooms at EPCOT.
Imagination! Pavilion Music Loop
Though the Imagination! Pavilion and Journey Into Imagination have seen significant changes since EPCOT opened in 1982, guests could still hear the area’s original music loop in the pavilion’s restrooms. According to DreamfinderGuy on X, that is no longer the case.
DreamfinderGuy shared a brief video from inside the men’s restroom, noting that the area’s 1999 music loop is playing instead of the usual 1982 version.
For comparison, the video below from 2016, posted on YouTube by Tom Bricker, features the 1982 loop.
The video below, posted by ResortTV1, features the full 1982 music loop.
EPCOT has seen some music loop updates in the past year as the park’s reimagining came to an end. The EPCOT entrance and World Celebration got a brand-new music loop. The Land’s original 1982 music loop returned, was turned off, and then returned again. We’ll check on the Imagination restrooms ASAP to see if this change is temporary or permanent.
Recently, the Figment footprints at the exit of Journey Into Imagination With Figment disappeared also.
The Imagination! Pavilion opened with EPCOT on October 1, 1982 — however, the pavilion’s flagship attraction, Journey Into Imagination, was delayed until March 1983. The popular ride starred the Dreamfinder and Figment. It became Journey Into YOUR Imagination in 1999, but this second version of the ride was largely panned. It was quickly updated to the iteration we have today: Journey Into Imagination with Figment. Persistent rumors suggest the ride could be updated again but Disney has not confirmed anything.
