On a recent trip to Disney California Adventure Park, we noticed that some Oogie Boogie Bash and other Halloween decor had been added to the theme park.
Halloween Decor
Oogie Boogie has taken his usual seasonal place above “California” at the Disney California Adventure Park entrance. Bats fly around his extended arms. His black and green figure stands in front of a white full moon.
Once inside the park, guests can turn around and see another image of Oogie Boogie. His laughing black silhouette is featured inside the yellow back of the full moon.
Oogie Boogie Bash begins on August 25 and runs on select dates through October 31. Tickets for the event have already sold out. A sneak peek at merchandise for the event was recently shared.
Jack-o’-lanterns and gourds have been added to the top shelf inside Mortimer’s Market.
The shelf in front of another wall inside of the snack stand features even more jack-o’-lanterns. Three of them sit together inside a single crate.
While the banners, bats, and other Halloween decor that usually inhabit Buena Vista Street have yet to be installed, “The Skeleton Dance” displays have appeared at Elias & Co. and Big Top Toys.
In the above image, a black and white Mickey Mouse is frozen in fear. He holds a paintbrush above his head.
In one window display, Mickey sits in front of organ keys. He stares in fear as three organ pipes come to life behind him.
The final display depicts Mickey playing the organ while two skeletons dance behind him. This image is based on”The Skeleton Dance,” a “Silly Symphony” short from 1929.
Halloween decor continues to pop up around Disneyland Resort. We previously reported that Halloween Time signage had been added near the Mickey and Friends tram plaza at Disneyland Resort.
