Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is set to kick off tonight, August 9, in Magic Kingdom and we have our first look at some of the returning photo ops for this year’s event.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
This photo op features the iconic pink sea monster from the classic 1954 film, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” Guests can pose between flats so they look like they’re inside a metal sub that the monster is enveloping.
A sign in the upper right reads “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and “witness monsters of the deep.” The “N” emblem at the front stands for the Nautilus, the name of Captain Nemo’s submarine.
The “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” photo op is near Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland.
Legend of Sleepy Hollow
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” from Disney’s “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad” (1949) is brought to life in this spooky photo op. The headless horseman can be seen throwing a flaming jack-o’-lantern directly towards guests. Anthropomorphic trees and eerie headstones fill in the scenery.
The headless horseman has become a staple at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, famously leading Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade. This photo op is near the parade route, in the Cinderella Castle hub across from Tomorrowland Terrace.
The photo ops are also available during the day for regular guests not attending the parties.
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
This photo op places you right in the middle of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Guests can pose behind a flat image of Mr. Toad’s car as a train approaches in the background.
Chickens fly around in distress in the background, as a devil awaits in the upper left corner. A flat signpost reads, “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride,” “Beware,” and “Dangerously going nowhere in particular.” A train worker attempts to warn drivers in the lower right corner.
This photo op is located in Storybook Circus.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom from now through October 31. It is a separately-ticketed event, and tonight’s party has already sold out. Meet and greet locations for certain characters at the event have also recently been revealed.
