The Swizzle Lounge at Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort has once again been decked out with jack-o’-lanterns for Halloween Horror Nights.
Swizzle Lounge HHN Decorations
The lounge is located in the lobby of Cabana Bay Beach Resort. There are jack-o’-lantern decorations under the neon Swizzle Lounge sign and on the shelves behind the bar.
The jack-o’-lanterns are growing on long green vines. The ones under the sign are growing over a trio of barrels and a sign reading “Mr. Carver’s Best Selection of Pumpkins est. 1950.”
Mr. Carver was originally introduced in the Slaughter Sinema house at Halloween Horror Nights 28 and the sign later appeared in The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin house at HHN 30. The character owns a pumpkin patch in the recurring HHN location Carey, Ohio. This year’s event will feature a second Slaughter Sinema house.
The pumpkins behind the bar are much the same with large vines curled around them. There are fully three-dimensional pumpkins with twisted faces and lights inside. The wall behind them is covered in paneling featuring partially-dimensional pumpkins and vines.
The tradition of the jack-o’-lanterns taking over Swizzle Lounge began in 2022, although the lounge still celebrated HHN before that year. If the 2022 and 2023 seasons are any indication, more decorations are soon to come to Swizzle Lounge, including references to the Pumpkin Lord and Lil’ Boo.
The Pumpkin Lord was introduced in The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin. Lil’ Boo, a unique jack-o’-lantern, was a decoration at HHN 27 but became a meme and unofficial mascot when featured among The Wicked Growth decorations at HHN 30. Both returned for the Horrors of Halloween scare zone at HHN 31, and Lil’ Boo has continued to return in some form or another since.
Universal Aventura Hotel has alien theming for HHN this year. Which Halloween aesthetic do you prefer?
Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from August 30 through November 3.
