Trying The Ghost Trap Blondie, Batilda Cookie, Major Sweets Top Hat, & More From the Halloween Horror Nights 33 Tribute Store

Katie Francis

Universal Studios Florida guests can try various Halloween Horror Nights 33-themed baked goods, such as the Ghost Trap Blondie, Batilda Cookie, and Major Sweets Top Hat from the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store. Some are also available at San Francisco Major Sweets Candy Factory.

Major Sweets Top Hat – $15

A hand holds a small Major Sweets black top hat decorated with orange and green lollipops, a candy corn, and a red band, against a background of tiled wall in the Tribute Store.

This treat resembles Major Sweets‘ iconic top hat. It takes a great picture and tastes good too. It’s cookies and cream cake wrapped in a dark chocolate shell. The cake is moist.

A partially eaten chocolate cake shaped like a top hat with red and yellow decorations, placed on a black plate. The background appears to be a table with an indistinct object, reminiscent of the eerie ambiance one might find at Halloween Horror Nights 33.

It is a pain to eat because the shell is hard and the decorative pieces fall off. But that doesn’t stop it from being a fun treat.

Major Sweets Macaron – $3.75 or 6 for $20

A hand holding a cookie with a printed image of a grinning person wearing a top hat, reminiscent of the Ghost Trap Blondie available at the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store.

This isn’t a very good macaron. We think it’s chocolate and vanilla, but there’s some kind of burning taste.

A hand holds a macaron with a beige top, dark purple filling, and a dark purple bottom, against the tiled wall of the Tribute Store at Halloween Horror Nights.

It tastes cheap.

Mini Puft S’more – $7

A hand holding a purple frosted square dessert, reminiscent of a Ghost Trap Blondie, features an image of a dancing polar bear with a hat. The treat is partially wrapped in white wax paper. In the background, you can spot a cream-colored tiled wall.

This is cute but doesn’t taste great. If you want s’mores and you’re attending Halloween Horror Nights, just wait until the event officially starts and get the bit Stay Puft S’more, it’s much better.

A hand holds a partially eaten Ghost Trap Blondie, filled with white cream and five purple candy pieces, over a black plate on a white surface.

There’s a filling inside we couldn’t identify, and it will turn your hands purple.

Slimer Brownie – $10

A rectangular chocolate pastry topped with a green and black edible image featuring the Halloween Horror Nights 2024 logo, served on a black plate, will make the perfect treat in the Tribute Store.

This is terrible. It doesn’t taste like a brownie — more like icing straight out of the container. The green frosting is bad and there’s a bitter aftertaste. Plus it doesn’t have a creative design.

Ghost Trap Blondie – $10

A dessert shaped like a rectangular block with yellow and black stripes, resembling the Ghost Trap Blondie from Halloween Horror Nights, features a small black figure emerging from the top and is served on a black plastic plate.

This takes a better photo. The panels on the sides are edible paper. It has a surprisingly hard shell over the blondie.

A dessert shaped like a vacuum cleaner, presented on a round black plate. The Ghost Trap Blondie features detailed decorations, including yellow and black stripes and what appears to be a control panel design.

You need to like white chocolate to enjoy this, but even still, it’s not great. The blondie is chalky. At least it looks interesting.

Pumpkin Macaron – $3.75 or 6 for $20

A hand holds a macaron with a Halloween-themed design featuring an angry, carved pumpkin face in black and orange tones—perfect for snacking at the Tribute Store during Halloween Horror Nights.

This is much better than the Major Sweets Macaron. It has a pumpkin flavor that’s just like pumpkin pie.

A hand holds a pumpkin-themed macaron with orange filling and an image of a carved pumpkin on the top shell, reminiscent of treats at Halloween Horror Nights 33.

The cream inside also has a pumpkin pie consistency.

Batilda Cookie – $6.50

A hand holds a "Batcave" sign in front of a Halloween-themed creature with glowing red eyes and sharp teeth, surrounded by foliage and scattered objects, reminiscent of the chills you'd get at Halloween Horror Nights 33.

This last treat is based on the main creature of the Tribute Store, Batilda, who was first introduced in the Shipyard 32 scare zone last year. It’s a chocolate sugar cookie that tastes like a Costco cookie.

A person holds a bat-shaped cookie with white and black icing that reads "Batman." The surrounding setting, reminiscent of Halloween Horror Nights, features tiled walls and a chain barrier visible in the background.

It’s a little dry but the flavor is good. It’s a cute enough cookie, even though it looks more like the Batman symbol than Batilda.

Ghost S’more Macaron – $3.75 or 6 for $20

A round cookie with the Ghostbusters logo, featuring a surprised ghost inside a red "no" symbol, held by a hand in a clear plastic container from Batilda's major sweets collection.

We tried the Ghost S’more Macaron aka the Ghostbusters macaron, and it was our favorite macaron yet. The cookie is exactly what we expected it to be, which is all we needed from this treat. The filling of marshmallow fluff and milk chocolate is very tasty.

A hand with black nail polish holds a small beige macaron with a creamy filling, reminiscent of Batilda's major sweets. The background features an out-of-focus outdoor scene.

This is exactly what you want from a Ghostbusters sweet and while we still recommend the Stay Puft S’more over this, you can’t go wrong here. If you plan on getting six macarons for $20, make sure that some of these are among the six.
