Disney & Universal Release First Statements About Tropical Storm Helene

Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort have issued their first statements about Tropical Storm Helene.

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions. We are closely monitoring the path of the storm as we continue to prioritize the safety of our Guests and Cast Members.

Universal Orlando Resort

At this time, our park operations and hours are continuing as normal. We are closely monitoring the weather. Please check back for updates.

This means that at this time, no operating changes have been made for either theme park resort, and there are no updates to the cancellation policies.

Tropical Storm Helene is expected to become a Hurricane as it makes its way toward Florida’s Gulf Coast, with landfall currently expected on Thursday.

Current forecasts have Orange County, home to both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando, avoiding the more severe weather. The area will still likely experience Tropical Storm-type weather such as torrential rain and high winds.

Stay tuned for more Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort operational updates.
