Halloween Horror Nights and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Among 2024 Golden Ticket Awards Winners

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights and Disney’s Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance were both celebrated at the 2024 Golden Ticket Awards ceremony this weekend.

Halloween Horror Nights was acknowledged as a Legend in the theme park industry after winning the Halloween category 15 times before the category was retired. Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas was similarly honored.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Islands of Adventure secured the number 2 spot in 2024’s Top 50 Steel Roller Coasters. Number 1 went to Fury 325 at Carowinds in Charlotte, NC.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, at Universal Islands of Adventure, came in at number 22 on the list, tying with Lightning Rod at Dollywood.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was named Best Dark Ride for the second year in a row. The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge E-ticket attraction previously won Best New Attraction Installation and Best New Family Attraction in 2021.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT was named the 18th-best steel roller coaster.

The Golden Ticket Awards are presented by Amusement Today. Polls are completed by theme park enthusiasts and awards are granted in multiple categories. Check out the full list of 2024 Golden Ticket Awards winners.
