Halloween Horror Nights is scheduled to open and operate as normal tonight, Friday, September 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
On Wednesday, September 25, Universal Orlando announced that Universal Volcano Bay water theme park would temporarily close on September 26 for Hurricane Helene. Today, the water park is scheduled to open as normal from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
Yesterday, September 26, Universal decided to cancel Halloween Horror Nights for the evening. Guests who had a single-night dated ticket for Thursday can automatically use it for any single night of the event through Sunday, September 29. For any other Halloween Horror Nights-related ticketing questions, guests are encouraged to call Universal’s Guest Contact Center team at 800-711-0080.
Ahead of Hurricane Helene, Universal also closed CityWalk early at 8 p.m. on Thursday, though Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure operated as normal.
Currently, only a wind advisory remains in effect for Orange County, where Universal Orlando Resort is located. That advisory will end at 11 a.m. ET. Guests visiting the resort today could expect to see some continuing wind and rain. The 8 a.m. update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) states that storm surges along the panhandle of Florida and other parts of the state’s west coast should subside today. Hurricane Helene made landfall last night as a Category 4 hurricane.
Our thoughts are with those impacted by the effects of Hurricane Helene.
