As demolition of The Lost Continent is underway, trees are being removed around Mythos in Universal Islands of Adventure.
Tree Removal
We noticed walls go up outside Mythos Restaurant last week, and since then it appears tree removal has begun in the area. While there are still several trees behind the walls, there were noticeably fewer trees than there were a week ago.
In front of Mythos, for example, the trees to the left of the sign are gone, as seen in the above photo from last week.
There are still several very tall trees towering over the construction walls, as we saw above today, July 23.
Some of the foliage has also been trimmed back, as you can see in the above before and after. The photo to the left is from last week, and the one to the right is from today.
Universal has not announced a replacement for The Lost Continent, only that the demolition was to “ensure the area is ready for any future developments.”
