Bob Iger Wishes Safety for Floridians Ahead of Hurricane Milton

Today, on Instagram, Bob Iger posted wishes for the safety of everyone in the path of Hurricane Milton, including Disney colleagues and their families.

At the time of this publication, Florida is seeing an unprecedented evacuation of the West Coast due to Hurricane Milton. Milton, which has officially downgraded to a Category 3 after being a Category 5 storm on Tuesday, will make landfall tonight and then is expected to reach central Florida overnight.

Yesterday, Disney World started to prepare for Hurricane Milton by strapping down kiosks, covering cash registers, and removing umbrellas and other potential hazards. This morning preparations continued before the parks closed early in the afternoon.

On Instagram, Bob Iger shared the above image sending well wishes to those in Florida affected by Hurricane Milton. Iger stated in the caption of this post,

Walt Disney World will remain closed on October 10. An 8 p.m. curfew has been announced for parts of Walt Disney World Resort property.

Disney World isn’t the only Disney property that is affected by the hurricane. Due to Hurricane Milton The Disney Wish, which was set to depart from Port Canaveral on October 11, has since canceled this departure.
