The Disney Treasure is marking its final construction milestone today with its delivery ceremony in the Netherlands.

The delivery ceremony was held in Eemshaven, Netherlands. In attendance were team members, shipyard workers, and the Meyer Werft team.

Traditionally, a delivery ceremony marks the transfer of ownership between a shipyard partner and the ship owner — in this case, Meyer Werft and Disney Cruise Line, respectfully.

With this milestone, the countdown really begins toward the Disney Treasure’s maiden voyage on December 21, 2024. The ship left to complete its sea trials back in September and had its “float out” in August. The final staterooms aboard the ship were installed in July.

The new ship will be the same size, shape, and have the same layout as the Disney Wish. However, the ship will offer an adventure theme.
