With the Category 5 storm imminently approaching the Orlando area on Thursday, Disney has announced the cancelation of the Friday embarkation aboard the Disney Wish, which was set to depart from Port Canaveral on October 11.

Disney announced a message to affected guests, explaining the weather conditions forecasted in the area and why it necessitated a cancelation. Affected customers will be given a full refund for their canceled trip, as well as 20% off a future sailing.

To redeem this discount, affected guests must contact Disney Cruise Line on or before October 15.

We previously reported an itinerary change for the Disney Magic due to the storm. While Walt Disney World has yet to announce a widespread park closure, certain resorts will be closed and park reservations have been blocked for October 9. Additionally, Orlando International Airport has suspended commercial operations starting Wednesday.
