The world-famous Jungle Cruise is set to reopen earlier than expected at Magic Kingdom, following a nearly two-month-long refurbishment.

Jungle Cruise Reopening Early at Magic Kingdom

According to the operating calendar on the Walt Disney World website, Jungle Cruise will now open ahead of schedule on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. The ride was previously scheduled to reopen two days later, on October 18.

Refurbishment on the attraction began on August 26, and though Disney hasn’t shared specific details on what work was planned, a “general construction” permit was filed in April 2024 with Underwater Engineering Services.

Jungle Cruise has received several updates over the past few years. Earlier this year, the ride’s queue received an extensive dock refurbishment. In 2021, new scenes were installed to replace culturally insensitive elements.
