Long time no see! Nana is back in Orlando!

Caption for our Photo Report from Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024: Five costumed Disney characters, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pluto, stand in front of a whimsical themed street with the castle in the background.

I hope you guys had a great weekend. I was in upstate New York over the weekend, where the weather was around the mid-50s to a high of 70 degrees. T-shirt and hoodie weather, right? Anyway, I am back in this crazy 94-degree weather with 98% humidity. Let my adventure begin!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Today, I did not get princess parking, so I decided to treat myself to a ride on the courtesy tram. But guess what? The tram was not very clean.

Inside view of an empty tram car with gray seats and safety signs, surrounded by green shrubs and parked vehicles in the background under a partly cloudy sky. This scenic moment was part of our Photo Report from Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024.

It is fine, I should appreciate that Disney gives us the option to ride to the park. Not all the theme parks can afford this. (But I am willing to clean them… for a small fee, aka a one-day theme park hopper ticket.)

I Am Home!

People walking near a central kiosk with "Crossroads of the World" signage at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park entrance under a bright, sunny sky with scattered clouds. Palm trees and buildings surround the area. This scene was captured for our 9/30/2024 Photo Report.

I walked into Mickey’s of Hollywood as usual, where I found the FIRST holiday shirt of the season for us.

In a 2024 photo report from Disney's Hollywood Studios, a red T-shirt with a cartoon skeleton face and the text "Making Christmas Fright" hangs prominently on a rack in the store.

We are 86 days away from Christmas, with 93 more days left in 2024. Can you believe it? I feel like 2024 has only just begun. But I am also so happy that we survived the brutal Florida summer.

Shelves displaying Minnie Mouse-themed toy houses on top and assorted figurine sets from Monsters Inc. on the bottom, captured in a stunning Photo Report at Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024.

Even though we lost Mickey’s Toontown in Magic Kingdom, we got Disneyland’s Mickey’s Toontown toy here in Walt Disney World.

Display of colorful keychains and hand sanitizers on a wooden stand in Disney's Hollywood Studios. A person in yellow shorts is visible in the background. Photo Report, 9/30/2024.

I crossed the street to check Celebrity 5&10. I was wondering about the actual sanitizer when I saw the holder… Now they are all over property!

Close-up of a finger pointing to a price list showing different prices and a hand holding a small aqua-colored bottle with a keychain attachment shaped like a mermaid. Photo Report from Disney's Hollywood Studios, 9/30/2024.

You can purchase the sanitizer for $0.99 and the carrier is $7.99, for a total of $8.98! It was $11.99 for the case and sanitizer back in the day.

Can you believe Disney brought down the price?! (Disney, please do not raise the price just because you’ve seen my Disney Princess Diary about this. Thank you so much.)

This Week’s Ears!

A store display at Disney's Hollywood Studios features various styles of mouse ear headbands, including blue, pink, and polka-dot designs. Don't miss this snapshot in our 9/30/2024 Photo Report!

Did you find anything you like? There was nothing new at Keystone Clothiers today, so I enjoyed the nice AC and proceeded with my loop!

A large green dinosaur statue stands amidst lush greenery and palm trees under a partly cloudy sky, a perfect snapshot from Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024.

Long time no see you, Gertie! You are shiny like usual!

A large, sci-fi themed robot with mechanical legs stands partially obscured by trees against a backdrop of a blue sky with clouds and a mural depicting a forest at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Capture this mesmerizing scene in your Photo Report dated 9/30/2024.

Hey, I’m home, AT-AT! Happy to see you working fine!

I literally say those out while I am walking… Yes, I am that Disney Adult. I used to hesitate to go to the parks by myself, but after a while, I got over it and started to enjoy it. I still love to go to the parks with people (Nana has friends too) but it’s much easier to go by myself. Walking and thinking (maybe more like meditating) about dinner and life and watching families enjoying their Disney vacation.

Two images: the left shows people at the Hydraulics ice cream shop counter; the right shows outdoor dining under red umbrellas at a restaurant with the sign "Baline's," taken during a Photo Report at Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024.

No changes at Ice Cold Hydraulics or Baseline Taphouse.

In the latest Photo Report from Disney's Hollywood Studios, park visitors walk by a bronze statue of a Muppet character styled as the Statue of Liberty, labeled "Ms. Liberty," holding an ice cream cone instead of a torch. Don’t miss your chance to see it before 9/30/2024!

Miss Piggy was giving the eye today…

I feel you, Miss Piggy. You are so done with life… Me too. When life gave me a lemon, I tried to make lemonade with it… So I can enjoy it even though it is not enjoyable, right?

Two views of outdoor areas at Disney's Hollywood Studios: one shows people entering a large building with "Muppet Vision 3D" signage, and the other shows a quiet pedestrian path lined with trees and buildings. Stay tuned for our 9/30/2024 Photo Report!

Muppet*Vision 3D is still here, no changes. Who is your favorite Muppet character? Mine is Beaker. He always gets screwed, but I love him.

A brick building with red trim features three flags atop: American, Italian, and possibly a company flag. A close-up also shows American and Italian flags against a partly cloudy blue sky. This could be part of Disney's Hollywood Studios’ setup for 2024.

I think this might be a victim of Hurricane Helene. The clip was off from the flag. (Yes, Nana was not here for Hurricane Helene. She really waited for me to leave to become a hurricane.)

Entering Batuu East (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge)

A pathway surrounded by trees and rocks under a clear blue sky with clouds. The area is fenced with ropes and poles, and electrical lines run overhead. Captured for the Photo Report at Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024.

When you don’t see anybody in the outdoor queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, that means “THE WAIT IS LESS.” It was only posted at a 40-minute wait.

Two amusement park employees stand under a large umbrella at Disney's Hollywood Studios, holding a sign that reads, "Single River End of Line" with a natural backdrop of trees and bushes.

Single rider was also still available!

A hand holds a tumbler decorated with cartoon characters and the text "AMBEO FRIEND," against an outdoor cobblestone setting reminiscent of Disney's Hollywood Studios, with a few people in the background.

Walked into the market! Time for the water break!

Two stainless steel water dispensers with spigots sit on a counter at Disney's Hollywood Studios. A sign in front reads, "FOR WATER CUPS ONLY." Disposable cups are stacked by the dispensers. Staff member in the background emphasizes efficiency and guest service in this 2024 Photo Report.

I know the weather is getting better compared to brutal August… But still, it is hot! Please hydrate! I still see guests passing out from the heat. There are lots of water bottle fillers all over the parks, or you can go to any quick service location for a cup of water and ice. Ronto Roasters has a water station, too.

You just need to use the water cup to pour into your water bottle if you have one. Their water tastes fine, way much better than Magic Kingdom one in my opinion.

A man in a reddish shirt and others stand in front of a cage-like counter filled with eclectic items, where an animatronic figure is behind the mesh. Various decorations and artifacts adorn the walls, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Disney's Hollywood Studios. Photo Report 9/30/2024.

Dok-Ondar is working today. I guess he used up all of his PTO.

People walk around a themed area with rocky structures and a spaceship on the left, and a courtyard with various structures and flags on the right, under a partly cloudy sky at Disney's Hollywood Studios in September 2024.

Batuu East was not that busy. You can tell by the pictures.

A retail display at Disney's Hollywood Studios features Star Wars-themed merchandise, including Stormtrooper and Darth Vader costumes, t-shirts, mugs, backpacks, and helmets inside a sci-fi styled shelving unit. Don't miss this stellar setup next time you're there; mark your calendar for 9/30/2024!

At First Order Cargo, there is now more general Star Wars merchandise for sale. Maybe it’s a sign of getting new Galaxy’s Edge merchandise, or they are discontinuing the general merchandise. We will see.

People seated at outdoor cafe tables with green umbrellas, surrounded by trees and rocky terrain, enjoying a sunny day. Some are eating, others are engaged in conversation. This scene could easily be part of a 2024 Photo Report from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The temporary seating area still exists by the border of Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.

Outdoor café with several green umbrellas and patrons seated at tables. A staff member stands nearby with a cart. Trees and greenery surround the area under a partly cloudy sky, creating a serene ambiance perfect for Disney's Hollywood Studios as observed in our 9/30/2024 Photo Report.

They did not have any high chairs there today, but now they have a Cast Member who will clean the tables.

People walking and standing near colorful playground equipment and shaded tables in an outdoor park on a sunny day, capturing a perfect moment for our 2024 photo report.

The actual Woody’s Lunch Box seating area is still demolished and has no updates. Might take a while…

People walking toward the entrance of "Toy Story Mania!" attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios, featuring colorful signs, characters, and a backdrop of trees and blue sky. This snapshot is part of our Photo Report from 9/30/2024.

Toy Story Mania was ONLY a 20-minute wait today. That’s our unofficial intern’s favorite ride. Do you know there are tricks to get higher scores? It’s fun but also it’s a workout.

People walking by and entering "Walt Disney Presents" attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios on a partly cloudy day, as captured in our 9/30/2024 Photo Report.

At Walt Disney Presents, they are still playing a sneak peek of “Inside Out 2!” Did you watch it on Disney+? I went to see it at the theater but I did rewatch it on Disney+! Yes, I have so much anxiety living in my head. I am sure my controller is super dark orange (and maybe a wee bit of blue for Sadness).

A sign for the "Voyage of The Little Mermaid" attraction featuring characters Ariel, Flounder, and King Triton mounted on a building at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Photo Report: 9/30/2024.

Now passing the old Voyage of the Little Mermaid theater! The holidays are coming up, and Disney should hopefully announce something about the new show soon! This is another ingredient of my anxiety, to be honest. No change to the wall on this side either.

Exterior of a building with a large "Dance Moms" poster above the entrance, promoting streaming on Hulu. Two people are seated on a bench near the entrance under a clear, sunny sky, reminiscent of the vibrant energy you'd find at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Mark your calendar for 9/30/2024!

Random stuff, but I started to watch “Dance Moms: A New Era” on Hulu. I am a big fan of ALDC but this new one is good too, so many dramas. If you love those reality TV shows, please watch them. I love reality TV shows and one day, I would love to make a reality TV show about Disney adults finding their true love… Dear Figment, Can you please help me to make this happen? I am really serious about this.

Today’s Animal Break – Hawk vs. Squirrel

A group of people standing and taking photos of something in the trees at a park. The sky is partly cloudy, and buildings are visible in the background, reminiscent of a scene straight out of Disney's Hollywood Studios 2024.

There was a big audience!

A squirrel runs along a tree branch while a hawk perches nearby, surrounded by foliage and a partly cloudy sky. Captured on 9/30/2024, this scene feels almost like a photo report from nature's own set at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I told the hawk to not mess with the squirrel.

People standing outside an art deco style theater with a sign that reads, "Pixar Toys: Treasures and Beyond!" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. (Photo Report, 9/30/2024).

At Beverly Sunset, they finally brought “Inside Out 2” custom ear headband plush!

A photo report from Disney's Hollywood Studios on 9/30/2024 showcases a display of headbands and various character plush toys organized in bins on a store shelf, with instructions above for customizing the headbands.

If you haven’t gotten yours yet, you can get them at Hollywood Studios!

Display of handbags and tote bags with floral patterns on white shelves, featuring a mannequin showcasing one of the shoulder bags, reminiscent of a scene from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The new Christmas x Disney Dogs’ Dooney and Bourke collection is now at Legends of Hollywood.

A Dooney & Bourke handbag with brown straps featuring a white background and an all-over print of cartoon dogs in various outfits, perfect for a trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios. A black security tag is attached to one of the straps.

Oh my god, Nana has a tray on her head just like in the animated “Peter Pan” film, but this time she is carrying a gingerbread house! Nana, why are you so precious? Yes, Nana loves Nana!

Two images of Disney's Hollywood Studios: on the left, a tall, terracotta-colored tower with "Hollywood Tower Hotel" signage; on the right, signs showing entrance for stand-by line and Lightning Lane. Captured on 9/30/2024 for our Photo Report.

Tower of Terror was a 13-minute wait today — meaning it was a walk-on!

Do you like Tower of Terror? I personally do not like it, or drop rides in general. I can barely handle the drop on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I did ride the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios for the first time last year. When we went all the way up and stopped for the picture for a second, I couldn’t handle it and said a not-family-friendly word… and guess what? It echoed too well. I was scared and embarrassed.

If you know a good tip on how to handle those drop rides, please let me know. One day I would love to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

People walk around an outdoor area at Disney's Hollywood Studios, exploring a building marked 'Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy,' surrounded by palm trees under a partly cloudy sky. (Photo Report: 9/30/2024)

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy had people waiting outside today. I guess it could be due to the heat. They need to escape to somewhere with AC.

A large red and white electric guitar sculpture leaning against a building with a mural, surrounded by palm trees and people walking on a sunny day. Photo report from Disney's Hollywood Studios, 9/30/2024.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is still rocking with Aerosmith. I love the theme of this coaster, but Gen Z wouldn’t know who they are… Disney should bring new bands, or “Phineas and Ferb” or “Descendants.”

This will conclude Nana’s Disney Princess Diary. Tomorrow is the 1st day of October! Let’s Boo this! Thank you for reading all the way through, I hope you had some laughs.

Have a Magical Day and will see you real soon!

  1. I thought the 13 minute wait for Tower of Terror on Tuesday night meant it was a walk on, but it wasn’t. We still waited a while, especially once you get to the boiler room awaiting the elevators. Thirteen minutes is just the lowest wait time they will post, I hear, being spooky and all. We waited maybe 20 minutes, walking near constantly and trying not to slip on wet tiles outside the building. Tread carefully. Had a great time despite rain. Did 3 other rides with somewhat short waits.
