Long time no see! Nana is back in Orlando!
I hope you guys had a great weekend. I was in upstate New York over the weekend, where the weather was around the mid-50s to a high of 70 degrees. T-shirt and hoodie weather, right? Anyway, I am back in this crazy 94-degree weather with 98% humidity. Let my adventure begin!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Today, I did not get princess parking, so I decided to treat myself to a ride on the courtesy tram. But guess what? The tram was not very clean.
It is fine, I should appreciate that Disney gives us the option to ride to the park. Not all the theme parks can afford this. (But I am willing to clean them… for a small fee, aka a one-day theme park hopper ticket.)
I Am Home!
I walked into Mickey’s of Hollywood as usual, where I found the FIRST holiday shirt of the season for us.
We are 86 days away from Christmas, with 93 more days left in 2024. Can you believe it? I feel like 2024 has only just begun. But I am also so happy that we survived the brutal Florida summer.
Even though we lost Mickey’s Toontown in Magic Kingdom, we got Disneyland’s Mickey’s Toontown toy here in Walt Disney World.
I crossed the street to check Celebrity 5&10. I was wondering about the actual sanitizer when I saw the holder… Now they are all over property!
You can purchase the sanitizer for $0.99 and the carrier is $7.99, for a total of $8.98! It was $11.99 for the case and sanitizer back in the day.
Can you believe Disney brought down the price?! (Disney, please do not raise the price just because you’ve seen my Disney Princess Diary about this. Thank you so much.)
This Week’s Ears!
Did you find anything you like? There was nothing new at Keystone Clothiers today, so I enjoyed the nice AC and proceeded with my loop!
Long time no see you, Gertie! You are shiny like usual!
Hey, I’m home, AT-AT! Happy to see you working fine!
I literally say those out while I am walking… Yes, I am that Disney Adult. I used to hesitate to go to the parks by myself, but after a while, I got over it and started to enjoy it. I still love to go to the parks with people (Nana has friends too) but it’s much easier to go by myself. Walking and thinking (maybe more like meditating) about dinner and life and watching families enjoying their Disney vacation.
No changes at Ice Cold Hydraulics or Baseline Taphouse.
Miss Piggy was giving the eye today…
I feel you, Miss Piggy. You are so done with life… Me too. When life gave me a lemon, I tried to make lemonade with it… So I can enjoy it even though it is not enjoyable, right?
Muppet*Vision 3D is still here, no changes. Who is your favorite Muppet character? Mine is Beaker. He always gets screwed, but I love him.
I think this might be a victim of Hurricane Helene. The clip was off from the flag. (Yes, Nana was not here for Hurricane Helene. She really waited for me to leave to become a hurricane.)
Entering Batuu East (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge)
When you don’t see anybody in the outdoor queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, that means “THE WAIT IS LESS.” It was only posted at a 40-minute wait.
Single rider was also still available!
Walked into the market! Time for the water break!
I know the weather is getting better compared to brutal August… But still, it is hot! Please hydrate! I still see guests passing out from the heat. There are lots of water bottle fillers all over the parks, or you can go to any quick service location for a cup of water and ice. Ronto Roasters has a water station, too.
You just need to use the water cup to pour into your water bottle if you have one. Their water tastes fine, way much better than Magic Kingdom one in my opinion.
Dok-Ondar is working today. I guess he used up all of his PTO.
Batuu East was not that busy. You can tell by the pictures.
At First Order Cargo, there is now more general Star Wars merchandise for sale. Maybe it’s a sign of getting new Galaxy’s Edge merchandise, or they are discontinuing the general merchandise. We will see.
The temporary seating area still exists by the border of Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.
They did not have any high chairs there today, but now they have a Cast Member who will clean the tables.
The actual Woody’s Lunch Box seating area is still demolished and has no updates. Might take a while…
Toy Story Mania was ONLY a 20-minute wait today. That’s our unofficial intern’s favorite ride. Do you know there are tricks to get higher scores? It’s fun but also it’s a workout.
At Walt Disney Presents, they are still playing a sneak peek of “Inside Out 2!” Did you watch it on Disney+? I went to see it at the theater but I did rewatch it on Disney+! Yes, I have so much anxiety living in my head. I am sure my controller is super dark orange (and maybe a wee bit of blue for Sadness).
Now passing the old Voyage of the Little Mermaid theater! The holidays are coming up, and Disney should hopefully announce something about the new show soon! This is another ingredient of my anxiety, to be honest. No change to the wall on this side either.
Random stuff, but I started to watch “Dance Moms: A New Era” on Hulu. I am a big fan of ALDC but this new one is good too, so many dramas. If you love those reality TV shows, please watch them. I love reality TV shows and one day, I would love to make a reality TV show about Disney adults finding their true love… Dear Figment, Can you please help me to make this happen? I am really serious about this.
Today’s Animal Break – Hawk vs. Squirrel
There was a big audience!
I told the hawk to not mess with the squirrel.
At Beverly Sunset, they finally brought “Inside Out 2” custom ear headband plush!
If you haven’t gotten yours yet, you can get them at Hollywood Studios!
The new Christmas x Disney Dogs’ Dooney and Bourke collection is now at Legends of Hollywood.
Oh my god, Nana has a tray on her head just like in the animated “Peter Pan” film, but this time she is carrying a gingerbread house! Nana, why are you so precious? Yes, Nana loves Nana!
Tower of Terror was a 13-minute wait today — meaning it was a walk-on!
Do you like Tower of Terror? I personally do not like it, or drop rides in general. I can barely handle the drop on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I did ride the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios for the first time last year. When we went all the way up and stopped for the picture for a second, I couldn’t handle it and said a not-family-friendly word… and guess what? It echoed too well. I was scared and embarrassed.
If you know a good tip on how to handle those drop rides, please let me know. One day I would love to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy had people waiting outside today. I guess it could be due to the heat. They need to escape to somewhere with AC.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is still rocking with Aerosmith. I love the theme of this coaster, but Gen Z wouldn’t know who they are… Disney should bring new bands, or “Phineas and Ferb” or “Descendants.”
This will conclude Nana’s Disney Princess Diary. Tomorrow is the 1st day of October! Let’s Boo this! Thank you for reading all the way through, I hope you had some laughs.
Have a Magical Day and will see you real soon!

I thought the 13 minute wait for Tower of Terror on Tuesday night meant it was a walk on, but it wasn’t. We still waited a while, especially once you get to the boiler room awaiting the elevators. Thirteen minutes is just the lowest wait time they will post, I hear, being spooky and all. We waited maybe 20 minutes, walking near constantly and trying not to slip on wet tiles outside the building. Tread carefully. Had a great time despite rain. Did 3 other rides with somewhat short waits.
