Crews Staging Equipment at Test Track Entrance as Refurbishment Continues

On our most recent visit to EPCOT, we noticed that the crews were staging equipment at the entrance of Test Track for the attraction’s ongoing refurbishment.

On the morning of October 14, we noticed a large array of equipment at the entrance of Test Track at EPCOT. In our previous update, a few things were staged, but not nearly this much. There was also a tarp covering the demolished pavement. The tarp has now been removed, and now a good amount of plywood and flats are staged around, as well as large equipment.

Here you can more easily see the hole at the entrance. This is likely to install the supports necessary for the new entrance overhang in the concept art shared during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. For now, the hole remains exposed but there is a base in the bottom right section.

It appears that scaffolding is staged near the Test Track Simporium. It’s possible the scaffolding will be used in the next part of the entrance construction. Be sure to stay tuned to our website for more updates.
