Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort are experiencing technical issues across their websites and mobile applications.
Walt Disney World and Disneyland Experiencing Technical Issues
When attempting to utilize the Walt Disney World website, guests are met with the “We’ll Be Back Later” splash page, citing that the “systems are unavailable.” An Important Information flag at the top of the website currently reads,
Pardon the Iconvenience
Some of our digital experiences may be unavailable at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We reached the error splash page by trying to visit the “Tickets & Parks” section of the website.
On the My Disney Experience app, the same message is featured in a pop-up that must be confirmed by the user in order to continue experiencing the app, along with the added note that Disney is “actively working to resolve this issue.”
On the Disneyland Resort website, trying to visit many of its pages will take you to this error splash page featuring Dante from Pixar’s “Coco,” with the message,
We’re Down for Maintenance!
But we’ll be up and running soon, so please try again later.
The website also has the same “Important Information” notice about the outage as the Walt Disney World website.
These technical issues also seem to be affecting the Disneyland Resort app, as the same message appears in a pop-up once users first open their apps today.
At the time of publication, it is unclear just how widespread this issue is. We were able to both book a mobile order and attempt to make a park pass reservation for Walt Disney World, so it’s possible that the issues may not affect all guests or every digital aspect of the front-facing guest experience. That being said, one of our reporters is currently unable to renew their Walt Disney World Annual Pass while these issues are ongoing.
In September of this year, DisneyStore.com and the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps experienced widespread technical issues relating to payment. Guests could not book Lightning Lanes, use mobile checkout, or make Mobile Orders for food in the parks.
