‘Big Band Beat: A Special Treat’ Ending Performances at Tokyo Disney Resort in 2025

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that performances of “Big Band Beat: A Special Treat” will end in 2025.

According to the Tokyo Disney Resort website, the show will no longer be presented after September 30, 2025. A new show for the Broadway Music Theatre at Tokyo DisneySea has not yet been announced.

Big Band Beat: A Special Treat will no longer be presented after September 30, 2025. Information about the new entertainment program to be presented at Broadway Music Theatre will be announced as soon as it is determined.

The show was renamed to “Big Band Beat: A Special Treat” after it returned in a modified form in 2021 following pandemic closures. “Big Band Beat” originally opened on July 14, 2006, as part of Tokyo DisneySea’s fifth anniversary. The show features Mickey Mouse and his friends performing a stylish revue with swing jazz, including Mickey taking a turn on the drums!

It was recently announced that major Tokyo Disney Resort stage shows would be adding paid seating through Disney Premier Access. Paid access to seating will debut on November 13, 2024.

  1. I saw the original Big Band Beat and it was one of the highlights of the incredible DisneySea Park. The clip above that shows the newer show is definitely a watered-down version since it appears to eliminate the on-stage band. Are they using a soundtrack instead?
