Disney released the first teaser trailer for the live-action remake of “Lilo & Stitch.”
‘Lilo and Stitch’ Teaser
Disney describes the movie as the “wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.” It’s directed by Dean Fleischer Camp of “Marcel the Shell With Shoes On.”
Chris Sanders reprises his voice role as Stitch and Maia Kealoha debuts as Lilo. It also stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis. It’s produced by Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a. and Dan Lin, with Louie Provost, Tom Peitzman, and Ryan Halprin as executive producers.
Disney shared a first look at the live-action reimagining at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this summer. They later shared another picture of Stitch on social media.
The original “Lilo and Stitch” starring Daveigh Chase as Lilo and Tia Carrere as Nani premiered in 2002, grossing $273 million globally.
