The EPCOT dedication plaque has been reinstalled on a new sign at the park’s entrance. The dedication plaque and its old sign were removed in June of this year.
New EPCOT Dedication Plaque Sign
The new EPCOT dedication plaque sign is the same style as other new EPCOT signage installed over the past few years as part of the park’s reimagining. It’s black with blue supports on the sides — blue being the color of World Celebration, the entrance land of EPCOT. The sign is in front of the entrance gates, at the front of a flowerbed that also houses a flagpole and directional sign.
The hexagon-shaped dedication plaque is the same as before, black with a bronze border and lettering. Under the EPCOT logo, it features Card Walker’s EPCOT dedication speech:
Epcot
To all who come to this Place of joy, Hope and Friendship
WelcomeEpcot is inspired by Walt Disney’s creative vision. Here, human achievements are celebrated through imagination, wonders of enterprise and concepts of a future that promises new and exciting benefits for all.
May EPCOT Center entertain, inform and inspire and above all, may it instill a new sense of belief and pride in man’s ability to shape a world that offers hope to people everywhere.
