Disney revealed details and shared new concept art of the new Haunted Mansion gift shop inspired by Madame Leota.
‘Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond’ Haunted Mansion Gift Shop Opening This Winter
Located next to the exit of the attraction, the shop is called Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond. Construction walls came down from the gift shop a few weeks ago but it’s not quite ready and will open this winter.
Disney describes Somewhere Beyond as a “carriage house that used to store the same ornate carriage that now remains on the mansion’s front yard.” It has a boudoir on the mezzanine level. At one point, it was home to the mansion’s head caretaker but Madame Leota later took up residence. It’s filled with her eclectic furniture, including a crystal ball, fainting couch, and the original parlor chandelier that Leota used in séances.
Disney shared new concept art showing the shop level. When the carriage house became a shop, Leota lent her desks, cabinets, and chests as antique artifacts to be showcased along with the merchandise. Madame Leota comes and goes, welcoming guests to her home.
Here, guests will find merchandise themed to Haunted Mansion and “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” including apparel accessories, collectibles, and home decor.
The Haunted Mansion’s expanded grounds open today.
