Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge was announced in 2018. Disney demolished their former water parkRiver Country, to make space for the resort on the shores of Bay Lake near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Construction began on Reflections but was shut down when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Years later, the resort was thought to be canceled until Disney began filing for construction permit extensions. Construction resumed at the site in the past few weeks.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” Disney Vacation Club did not release new artwork and we don’t know how much Disney Lakeshore Lodge will resemble Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. Check out concept art for the original Reflections room designs inspired by “Bambi,” “Brother Bear,” “Fox and the Hound,” and “Pocahontas.”

  1. They changed the name because the DVC Tower over at the Polynesian Resort is the same style architecture as Reflections was going to be.
