The Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses holiday overlay has returned to EPCOT for the 2024 holiday season.

Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses

Part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Glimmering Greenhouses sees holiday decorations and lights take over the greenhouses of Living with the Land, a slow-moving boat ride about the past, present, and future of agriculture.

The first part of the ride is unchanged as guests travel through the various biomes and farm scenes. Once the boats reach the greenhouses, holiday lights are strung in the entrance tunnel.

Pebble lights in a spectrum of colors light up the ground in the first greenhouse. The trees are carefully wrapped in strands of yellow. A family of sandpeople (not to be confused with the Tuskens of “Star Wars”) are found here by the breadfruit tree, donning winter gear.

Giant ornaments and large sculptures of the Land pavilion logo are placed between plants. A set of tables under a round arch are filled with holiday treats and decorations including chocolates, gingerbread cookies, a yule log cake, and more.

A wreath of fruit sits on either side of the aquacell area entrance. Inside are piles of gifts and string lights adorning the aquariums.

The Mickey icon topiary has antlers and an ornament nose to transform into a reindeer.

The support beams are wrapped in green lights, while a festive display of fruits sits under a pergola.

The Land-branded coffee bags sit amid a pile of gifts near the coffee plants, and spiral lights have been added in the daylily planter bed. An illuminated orange sits behind them.

Some of the various plants in the vertical gardens, such as cinnamon and nutmeg, have been given special labels as they are commonly used in holiday baking.

The Biotechnology Lab is decked out (and in) with a pile of gifts near the sign and lights strung indoors. Stockings are hung from the windows.

The Festival of the Holidays runs from November 29 through December 30, but the overlay opened a few days early.
