Five New Pieces of ‘Avatar 3’ Concept Art Revealed at D23 Brazil

New concept art for “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third film in director James Cameron’s record-breaking series, was revealed at D23 Brazil.

“Avatar: Fire & Ash” continues to follow Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) on the world of Pandora. The film’s title and initial concept art were revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim.

James Cameron said during a live-streamed appearance at D23 Brazil that the country’s indigenous people helped inspire the new film.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash” will be in theaters on December 19, 2025. It was filmed simultaneously with “Avatar: The Way of Water” over the course of three years. Production was completed in late December 2020.

Two more “Avatar” films are scheduled for release in 2029 and 2031.

Pandora – The World of Avatar opened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2017. A new “Avatar” area is planned for Disney California Adventure.
