The new series “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” will now release earlier than previously scheduled on Disney+.
‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ Premiering Early
Disney+ has announced that the new series from Lucasfilm will now debut its first two episodes on Monday, December 2 at 6 p.m. PST. Subsequent episodes will stream on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. for the remainder of the season.
The show was previously scheduled to premiere on December 3, 2024.
“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” follows four kids who make a mysterious discover on their home planet before finding themselves lost in a dangerous galaxy. Their next great adventure is finding their way home. The events of the show are set around the same time as “The Mandalorian,” “The Book of Boba Fett,” and “Ahsoka.”
The series stars Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, Nick Frost, and Jaleel White.

- The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert)
- Jake Schreier
- Bryce Dallas Howard
- Lee Isaac Chung
Watts and Christopher Ford serve as head writers and executive producers alongside Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.

Upcoming Star Wars projects on the horizon include a new trilogy developed by “X-Men” writer Simon Kinberg, a movie featuring Daisy Ridley as Rey set 15 years after “The Rise of Skywalker,” a James Mangold film about the dawn of the Jedi, and a “Lando” film starring Donald Glover. “The Mandalorian & Grogu” will be the first “Star Wars” film since Episode IX, releasing on May 22, 2026.
