Construction walls are up at the Disney California Adventure entrance for the installation of new turnstiles.

The construction walls are around the west end of the Disney California Adventure entrance gates. A row of barriers is also in front of the walls.

The walls are the same teal color as the entrance plaza. Some decorative white panels feature stars, the Disneyland Resort logo, and “Pardon Our Pixie Dust.”

We found out Disneyland Resort would get new turnstiles thanks to construction permits filed in December 2023. The permits indicated work would be completed in phases, with expected completion in 2025. The update will add more gates, stroller accessibility, and ADA accessibility for both park entrances.

Construction barriers with Disney branding are set up along a walkway at night, with a sign reading "Pardon our pixie dust.

Existing turnstiles and gates will be removed. Crews will install new automatic guest entry gates, fixed manual gates, and removable railings.

In March 2024, Disneyland Resort also tested a new facial recognition entry system at Disney California Adventure. We don’t know if Disney will implement this technology permanently.
