Disneyland Resort has confirmed that “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” parade will return to Disney California Adventure as part of its 70th anniversary festivities in 2025.
‘Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration’ Returning
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” will return to the streets of Disney California Adventure starting May 16, 2025 as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th anniversary celebration.
This daytime parade features its own theme song alongside a slew of dancers and colorful floats, with nearly 30 characters from Pixar Animation Studios films including “Turning Red,” “Up,” “Luca,” and more. The parade also incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) into its choreography.
“Better Together” first debuted as part of the 2024 Pixar Fest at Disney California Adventure. It serves as an updated version of the Pixar Play Parade, which ran in various forms intermittently between 2008-2017. Later on in the new parade’s run, Lightning McQueen temporarily replaced The Incredibles for two weeks before the supersuit-clad heroes returned.
Disneyland Resort held auditions for the parade’s return back in October, specifically seeking submissions for performers to portray 4*TOWN, the fictional boy band from “Turning Red,” as well as Mei’s father Jin Lee, Miriam, Abby, and Priya. Disneyland also posted auditions for inline skaters for the parade.
During the Halloween and holiday seasons in 2025, both “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” and “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks will temporarily pause to make way for seasonal entertainment offerings, but both will return at a later time.
You can currently enjoy the parade’s theme song on music streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Disneyland Resort will kick off its 70th anniversary celebration on May 16, 2025. The fun will continue through summer 2026.
