In the flurry of announcements for Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary, they confirmed the return of Wondrous Journeys to Disneyland park.

At night, Disneyland will become a magnificent canvas with the return of this beloved nighttime spectacular. “Wondrous Journeys” celebrates the legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios classics that have inspired Walt Disney’s original magic kingdom. Throughout the show, you embark on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart as you experience moments from beloved stories like “Hercules,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Peter Pan,” “Frozen,” “Big Hero 6,” “Moana,” “Encanto” and more.
The show features state-of-the-art projection effects that transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America. On select nights, the show will be enhanced with fireworks.
Wondrous Journeys debuted in January 2023 as part of the Disney 100 celebrations in honor of 100 years of The Walt Disney Company. It uses an original song, “It’s Wondrous.”
The original show featured flyovers from Baymax and the Blue Fairy, though those were cut when the show returned in spring 2024. It’s unclear if they will return for the 2025 run.

Disneyland 70th Anniversary
The 70th anniversary celebrations start on May 16, 2025 through summer 2026. Special entertainment and more will take place across the resort. The theme is “Celebrate Happy” and a new theme song of the same name will play. Special merchandise will be available.
At Disneyland park, the Paint the Night nighttime parade will also return. Walt Disney – A Magical Life, featuring the first ever animatronic figure of Walt Disney, will debut at the Main Street Opera House. Mickey & friends will have special celebratory costumes and will also star in a new cavalcade — Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy!
At Disney California Adventure, the new World of Color Happiness will debut. The Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration parade will return.
