Disneyland Resort turns 70 next year and a new celebratory cavalcade has been announced. Mickey & friends will debut new costumes for the cavalcade and the anniversary in general.

“Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals will all come dressed for the party in Town Square in Disneyland park, in custom looks designed just for the occasion.
Disneyland park will debut a new character cavalcade called “Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy!” As it winds its way along the parade route, favorite characters will encourage you to dance and clap along in an energetic and contemporary celebration of seven decades of happiness.
Mickey & Minnie’s 70th Anniversary Costumes
Mickey and Minnie’s costumes were previewed with the announcement. They coordinate with matching royal blue sweaters, each decorated with mid-century style stars. Mickey’s sweater also has ribbon-like stripes going down the asymmetrical length while Minnie’s sweater is bolero-style with three-quarter sleeves and a more minimalist design.
Minnie has a special magenta ear headband adorned with a multi-colored bow. It’s made of multiple strips of ribbon, each trimmed in silver. In the center of the bow is a stack of translucent multicolored stars.
Under the sweater, Mickey dons a striped shirt with magenta trim. His pants are a blue-purple ombre. Minnie is sporting a chiffon-esque dress with a magenta top and colorful layers of skirts. The preview did not show either Mouse’s shoes.
Sleeping Beauty Castle is receiving a similar look, with bunting similar to Minnie’s skirts in a variety of colors. The whole resort is set to be decorated as well.
Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happiness! Cavalcade
No details were given about the Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happiness! cavalcade, though it’s likely to feature the new “Celebrate Happy” theme song.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary
The 70th anniversary celebrations begin on May 16, 2025, and will run through summer 2026. Special merchandise and entertainment will be available.
At Disneyland park, Walt Disney – A Magical Life will debut at the Main Street Opera House Theater featuring an animatronic of Walt Disney. Later, the Wondrous Journeys fireworks spectacular will return along with the Paint the Night nighttime parade.
At Disney California Adventure, the new World of Color Happiness will debut and the Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration parade will return.
